Mark Holmes is the founder of Mark Holmes Football Academy.

Mark started his career at Clach FC before ex Dynamo Kiev player Sergei Baltacha signed him for Caley Thistle F.C. Mark then headed out to Australia on the recommendation of ex-West Ham player George Cowie where he teamed up with ex Australian international manager Frank Farina who played with Brugge and Bari. Mark played with 7 internationals in the team gaining valuable experience abroad. Mark also played with Newmarket FC and Capalaba FC who then later was managed by ex Hamilton player Alan Prentice. On Mark’s return, he signed for Falkirk FC, Ross County FC, and played for Clach FC, Buckie FC, Forres Mechanics FC, and Nairn County FC. Due to a car accident, Mark retired from football at age 27. Mark gained his coaching badges throughout his career and has coached for two SPL sides, Abroad and has coached for the SFA. Mark also works as a football intermediate who has represented players at Real Madrid, Real Betis, Racing Santander, Newcastle United, Marseille, West Bromwich Albion to name just a few. Mark took one of the biggest signing ever to come to the Highlands in Abdouyale Meite. Mark currently represents Cameron Gascoigne the nephew of ex England legend Paul Gazza Gascoigne. Mark brings a wealth of experience on and off the pitch and his skills and passion for the game are second to none. Mark is the founder of Mark Holmes Football Academy in Inverness, Beauly, Invergordon and three in Africa.

Solomon Owusu is a head coach at Mark Holmes Football Academy Ghana since June 19th, 2017. Solomon has gained huge respect across Africa for his coaching methods, producing elite footballers and results on and off the pitch. Solomon has been offered coaching opportunities across Africa and Europe but has declined them at present. Solomon has stayed very loyal to Mark Holmes Football Academy and he is an integral part. Solomon has gained national attention across Africa appearing on television, papers, and radio numerous times gaining a huge public following. He is a credit to himself and the great work he does for young African children. Solomon can be Seen in blue Jersey.

Richard Hart brings a wealth of experience having played in Scotland, Sweden, and Malta. Richard played for Inverness Caley Thistle FC, Ross County FC, Dundee FC, Ostersund FC, and Hibernians FC. Richard can also be seen on television doing running commentary for Ross county tv. Richard gained his coaching badges and can now pass on his experiences in football to the kids at Mark Holmes Football Academy that will only benefit young players.

Brian Irvine played for Falkirk FC before Sir Alex Ferguson swooped to take him to Aberdeen FC. Brian scored the winning goal in the Scottish cup final against Celtic taking the cup home to Pittodrie and cementing his name in folklore history and status as a club legend. Brian went on to represent Scotland gaining 9 full International caps. Brian later joined Dundee FC and Ross County FC. After retiring from playing Brian naturally took up the role of coaching gaining his UEFA A and B licence. Brian also had a spell in management in the Scottish league and has coached in Scotland in SPL clubs, America, and Korea at a full-time professional level. Brian can also be heard on the radio covering games on the SPL, European games, and international games for various radio stations. Brian is a valuable member of Mark Holmes Football Academy and brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and good communication skills that kids can tap into.

Bruce McGraw is an ex-Caley Thistle player who was also a prolific highland league goal scorer for Clachnacuddin FC. Bruce brings good experience to Mark Holmes Football Academy having played in the Scottish league and was a qualifying cup winner and league title winner during his career. Bruce has coached for highland league clubs and is another great addition to the current team of high calibre coaches at Mark Holmes Football Academy.

Pavlin Panayotov works at Mark Holmes Football Academy as a football intermediate placing our players into clubs worldwide. He has represented players at Rangers, Celtic, Hearts, Ross County, Inverness Caley Thistle, Hamilton, Raith Rovers, and many top clubs in England. Pavlin has worked alongside Manchester City, Stoke, Tottenham Hotspur, Wolves FC, and many others. He was a goalkeeper in the Bulgarian professional league before he was spotted by Newcastle United. Pavlin played for various professional clubs before retiring and taking up the role of a football agent and well-recognized coach gaining his UEFA A and B licence at Largs. Pavlin has extensive contacts in the game throughout the world and is a very much valued member of the team.

Peter Khalife has been appointed at Mark Holmes Football Academy as head European scout. Peter is founder of Superior Squad Sports Management (SSSM) a professional football agency that represents more than 30 professional and contracted players at the highest level of football in the world. SSSM goes beyond the mere representation of players at Europe’s best clubs, but serves also as a platform, for young talents, ages 12 to 21, through which they can be scouted and guided towards becoming professional players.

Peter has extensive contacts in world football clubs and has placed many young talents age 12 plus into top European Football Academies. Peter brings another dimension to Mark Holmes Football Academy We are an Academy who wants to see young players go as far in the game as they can by giving kids the best opportunity, they can get should they be good enough.

Shaun Kerr played for Ross County FC, Clachnacuddin FC and Nairn County FC. Shaun loves coaching kids, passing on his knowledge about the game and is an integral part of the coaching team at Mark Holmes Football Academy.

Greg Miller came through the Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC and Ross County FC youth systems.. Greg has a real passion for the game, patience, and a great attitude that shines through in his coaching. Greg is a valued member of the team.

Carly Kirkpatrick is a fully qualified personal trainer and football coach who has coached in America and various other countries. Carly has a great passion for coaching kids, and you can see that in her coaching style. It’s great to see so many girls in the Highlands and beyond playing football and long may that continue. Carly is in the process of joining a Highland league ladies’ team on a player/coaching roll alongside Mark Holmes Football Academy.

Melanie Gardiner has been appointed as the Mark Holmes Football Academy’s Nutritionist to help support the health, growth, development, and performance of your young athlete.

Melanie specializes in Integrative Sports Nutrition which places focus on the health of an athlete first and foremost before considering performance nutrition and applied sports nutrition. Melanie has worked with football clubs in Bermuda as well as Scottish and English Football Clubs working with athletes to help them reach their full potential on and off the field.
